To wrap up the school year my students created brochures about 4th grade. I made pretty simple directions for them to follow. They had to do either one fold or two fold brochure. We discussed different categories, and then they had to come up with 25 different facts about 4th grade. I'm planning on separating them out and passing them onto the 3rd grade classes. They loved being the "big kids" to help teach the younger students about how life is like. Just an idea that might also come in handy at your end of school.
Updated to add - that since this post I have created a freebie in my TPT store of a printable version of the brochure. Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
thanks a ton for the idea, i was just gonna teach my students to create a brochure using a word processor software and then i clicked your page n got this grrreat idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Did each student create a brochure, or did they work in teams?
ReplyDeleteEach student made their own. We brainstormed together and then they made it up.
ReplyDeleteI usually have my students write a letter giving rising 4th graders advice about surviving 4th grade. This has worked well in the past, but I think I am going to do this.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the picture for the Welcome to the Fourth Grade Brochure? I'm only asking because I recognize it and I'm extremely curious! Thank you!!!
