Five for Friday

Summer is such a different beat than the school year.  I'm sure once I get into a routine then it will be fine, but this week has been a ton of catch up from May's stressville.

I wanted to link up my 5 for Friday with Doodlebugs Teaching. :)

This week I did a ton of this...

and a lot of that....

... and saw a lot of this (Week 4 of potty training little bits)

We even tackled a visit to the ER for my husband...

and the boys had their dentist appt.

I also made up this when I should have been cleaning:

Day 5 of Summer Break and I pulled open my math teacher edition.  I have spent the majority of the last couple of days doing non stop laundry and cleaning, getting ready for our trip.  So I opened up my book and ran across Comparing numbers.  Usually I do a bunch of activities for comparing numbers on our whiteboards.
I just didn't have any task cards yet... so I made up some... the point being that students will have to look closely to see the difference between them.  Not difference meaning subtraction, but to identify greater than & less than.
Usually my class plays Scoot with task cards, and then I put them into a center rotation or use them for intervention.  I wanted to be able to have 3 different activities my students could complete in a center - using symbols, trophies, and a game board.

Of course an Answer Key (and this time also a blank answer document) is included as well.

Hope you had a great day!

  5. You are a lady after my own heart. Why clean when there are teacher things to do (even when school is out)?
I hope your husband has recovered.
    Thanks for sharing.

  6. Your summer has been super eventful! Your place value center looks awesome - yet another thing to add to my wishlist. I think I sell my own things on TpT just to support my habit! LOL!
