Monday Made It and Meet Up - My Friend Holly

I'm linking up with The Teaching Tribune to share about my friend Holly.  Holly is the blogger behind Fourth Grade Flipper.

Holly is also the brains behind Tried it Tuesday.  Here are 3 of her most popular posts:

She also has a FB page, and TPT store - Make sure to stop by and say hi!

I also wanted to link up with Tara today for her Monday Made It!  I've been busy in the classroom, but it's actually my backyard rain gutter garden that I want to show off today.  Things are growing!

We planted zucchini and strawberries in this contraption during Spring Break, but the birds started grabbing up the berries.  It's always some animal, right?  In past years my puppy ate it, that's why we brought it up high this year.

So I painted up some ladybug/red rocks that I threw in there to fool the birds and it seems to be working.

I told hubby that I wanted it high up on the fence, so he screwed it to the fence posts.  Then for more reinforcement in the middle section we wrapped wire around it and stapled to the top of the fence.  Then (because I have a tendency to forget to water), he added a drip system to it.

  I love fresh fruit and veggies!  Have a great day!

Helping a Teacher Friend - Fundraising Bundles

If you have been reading blogs for a bit of time you probably have come across the name Tori's Teacher Tips.  She's an awesome primary teacher, blogger, friend, and most importantly Mama to 2 little boys.

Tori's two babies have both been born premature - her oldest is now 6 years old and her baby is 2 months old.  Here are some of her pictures...

Today I found out that a fundraiser has been set up to help pay for the medical costs associated with being in the NICU for months.  Her family needs our help.

There is a special TPT store that has been set up with different fundraiser bundles whose profits go directly to help her.  There are bundles mainly for K-3 teachers, and one that I picked up with a bunch of clip art.  Please consider helping her family, even if you don't really need any more bundles or clip art or it's not the right age level... It will still help her!

Tori's Tiny Miracles Fundraiser

First Grade Bundle { Spring }

Grades 2-3 Bundle { Spring and More }

Kindergarten Bundle { end of year }

Clipart Bundle ( Spring and Summer )

Grades 2-3 Bundle { end of year }

Teachers are the best!  Have a great day!

Link Up, BlogLovin', Instagram, and SALE!

1. Link Up

 The InLinkz blog | Link-ups and product list tools for bloggers

I navigated through setting up my first ever type of linky.  It was nerve wracking!  :)

Yes, I'm dramatic...

I know I follow a lot of blogs, but I also know that there are probably other bloggers out there that I don't know about yet.  So I made a handy dandy little link up on my "Blogs I Love" page.  There are link ups for Primary, Intermediate, Middle School, and High School.

Eventually it's going to feel like my own little yearbook of blogs.

If you choose to link up please copy/paste your blog's home page, instead of a specific post.  :)

2. BlogLovin'

Next up - last night I got a BlogLovin' headache.  I'm sure eventually I will be BFF with it, but after importing the blogs 2 different times, I realized that the majority of my blogs don't show up in the BlogLovin' newsfeed, and by looking at Google Reader I had seen more people had been writing than just those 7 bloggers...  So I started alphabetically, and went through my Google Reader Feed, clicking on the 190 blogs, looking for the BlogLovin' button, and realizing over and over again that I needed to click to follow.

Seriously, I had to "follow" about 160 of them when supposedly they had already been imported - but they weren't showing up in the newsfeed.  I also realized that there were many blogs that don't have the Bloglovin' button too... :(

Just want to put it out there that it's not necessarily a done deal when you import...

3.  Instagram

Next next up...  I signed up for an account over at Instagram.  I felt left out, and that's never a good feeling. :)

I have no clue what I'm doing over there, but I'm over there if you want to find me.
