Popping In - Giveaway Over on FB

I really love summer!  My house is already cleaner than it usually is during the school year, my laundry is getting done when it should, and I've had adult conversation time with mom friends when my boys played at the park. 

I have so many "educationally fun" things I want to create this summer, that my goal is to get going on them too.  Today I uploaded 2 items over on TPT.  This first one is something I have wanted to do for a while.  I know as a buyer I love looking for bundles, and definitely something that I can use all year long.  I figure there are others out there just like me, so I bundled up 22 of the math task cards and activities that I use throughout the year... all the way from Place Value in August to Area & Perimeter in May.  It's the biggest bundle I've ever gathered up, and I'm so excited to offer it at 20% off the retail price.  Over on FB I posted the link earlier on today, and will be giving away one copy to a winner tomorrow (Thursday) night.

Since I have math pretty much covered for my own school year, I wanted to start making up more ELA ones for my future students.  I made up these Parts of Speech Task Cards this morning.  Students have to identify nouns, verbs, adjectives, and prepositions while looking at a sentence.  I have really started LOVING the colored digital papers from I'm Lovin Lit, but I understand that sometimes it's too much color to print - so this pack has 2 options... each page with a background of color, and another one that is more ink friendly.

Two for Tuesday - 50% off Daily Deals

Two for Tuesday Time!  This summer The Teaching Tribune had the idea of having different link ups every single day.  Link ups are a great way to meet new friends, and gather a bunch of ideas in the same spot.  Tuesdays will start being the day to see many different TPT products for 50% off.

Here's how I use them in my own classroom:

I had a lot of technology themed things in class this past year between this, my Student Notebooks, and name tags.  The kids really enjoyed clipping up (not just down), and I enjoyed a chance to reward good behavior with the visual.
  
As for my Monthly Grammar Sheets, as you know coloring can be educational!  

My kiddos loved coloring these parts of speech sheets this past spring.  Great review for elementary school kids to identify nouns, verbs, prepositions, adjectives, etc.  I started making them in March, and from there made an entire year.  Best compliment ever was from my student - I had printed the entire bunch of them to send off for this coming year and she asked if they were going to get to do all of them.  That made my day!

I also wanted to link up with Tara today for her Monday Made It!  I've been busy in the classroom, but it's actually my backyard rain gutter garden that I want to show off today.  Things are growing! 

We planted zucchini and strawberries in this contraption during Spring Break, but the birds started grabbing up the berries.  It's always some animal, right?  In past years my puppy ate it, that's why we brought it up high this year.  

So I painted up some ladybug/red rocks that I threw in there to fool the birds and it seems to be working.  

I told hubby that I wanted it high up on the fence, so he screwed it to the fence posts.  Then for more reinforcement in the middle section we wrapped wire around it and stapled to the top of the fence.  Then (because I have a tendency to forget to water), he added a drip system to it.  

  I love fresh fruit and veggies!  Have a great day!
