Michelle from Fabulous in First is hosting her weekly random party.
Random - I can do random!
First
Here is a couple of pictures from the 4th of July. I made smores and a shark/whale fruit thing
Then...
Christina from Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge wants to see our piles of school stuff - so without further ado, here is my clutter. Please don't judge.
Yes, even the top of the dog crate has been taken over - and at the moment the top of the garage freezer has all my fabulous notebook finds on top... but I need to find another place to store those. Above - you aren't seeing double, I did bring my school laminator home to join my home laminator. I even set up a TV tray to get the jobs done. It's working!
Now...
Mrs. Reed from Flying into First Grade wants to know our favorite teachers growing up. My favorite teacher ever was Mrs. VanMastright. She was my 2nd and 3rd grade teacher. She rolled up with us. :) I remember her loving owls, and doing a gigantic monthly calendar that took up the entire wall. Each one of us would have to find an important date in history that matched up to our specific day - we learned random history everyday. She taught me how to make fabric books using cardboard, we pushed cloves into oranges to make ornament gifts for parents, and she taught us cursive. She did a reading incentive program that included the top class winners going with her (in her car) to the ice cream place for clown sundaes. I was often the top reader. When I was in high school I had the opportunity of doing an ROP class and getting to go back to my old elementary school to work with her again as a classroom aide. My afternoons were so much fun. :) Working with her cemented the fact that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
Love that fruit! And my poor spare bedroom looks very similar right now. Thanks for linking up!

Your shark was ADORABLE! So clever! And your piles aren't too bad - they look kind of organized lol

Your "clutter" looks organized! I love the way school supplies look at the beginning of the year. I'm going to have to link up with that linky - thanks! :)
